LOCAL POTENTIAL WITHOUT BORDERS – COOPERATION THAT DRIVES THE REGION

Gorzów County, together with its German partner – the Municipality of Rüdersdorf bei Berlin – is implementing a project devoted to using culture, tourism and local products in the economic development of the border area.

On 10 October, the forum „Culture, Tourism and Local Products as a Driver of Development in Cross-Border Areas” discussed how local products, cultural and industrial heritage and the potential of the border area can support tourism, entrepreneurship and cross-border cooperation.

Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone S.A. supports not only large investments but also small, local businesses – important for building a strong and recognisable brand for the region.

Antoni Sołtys, Member of the Management Board of Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone S.A., presented the business dimension of the region's development. He reported that this year alone 54 support decisions have already been issued for new investments with a total value of PLN 2.6 billion. As he stressed, these are concrete actions that strengthen the attractiveness of the voivodeship and make investors increasingly willing to choose our region.

Andrzej Kail, Chairman of the Gorzów County Council and Marketing Director of KSSSE S.A., stressed that the region's strength lies in its people, their passion and ideas. He pointed out that local producers and tourism organisations strengthen the economy, identity and brand of the region.

The forum was organised with support from the Small Projects Fund of the Interreg Cooperation Programme.
