SCIENCE, CREATIVITY AND SOCIAL INNOVATION

Today the Management Board of the Kostrzyn-Słubice Special Economic Zone – Tomasz Pisarek, President of the Management Board, Magdalena Hilszer, Vice-President of the Management Board, and Antoni Sołtys, Member of the Management Board – hosted Prof. Dominika Narożna of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

The occasion for the meeting was the publication „Science and Social Practice. Between Creativity and Social Innovation”, authored by Prof. Dominika Narożna and Dr Piotr Lissewski, whose publication K-S SSE was pleased to support financially.

The foreword to the book was written by Tomasz Pisarek, President of the Management Board of K-S SSE, who stressed the importance of science for the development of businesses and the economy as a whole (quote): „For science not only explains the mysteries of the world, but through its educational mission also shapes the professionals who determine the strength of every business and every branch of the economy”.

This perspective is particularly close to the activities of K-S SSE. Economic development is not only about new investments, technologies and capital. It is also about knowledge, creativity and people who are able to turn ideas into innovative solutions that find practical application.

We sincerely congratulate Prof. Dominika Narożna and Dr Piotr Lissewski on the publication, and we thank the Professor for today's meeting and the inspiring conversation.
